How to Color Your Hair Like a Pro at Home

So today I am going to talk about coloring your hair at home. I've done it so often that I feel like a professional myself :) So here it comes:
1. With your hair dried, part your hair into four sections. Make a cross from your nape to your forehead and on you crown from on side to the other. Pin each individual part.
2.  Before applying the hair color, apply petroleum jelly around the neck and hair line this will prevent skin stains.
3. Mind your ends. They tend to suck up more color than any other part of your hair. Going darker? Comb dye through ends only at the last five minutes of processing. Lightening up? Start at the tips; they’ll be a bit blonder, like they turn in the sun.
4. The amount of time you leave the dye on will depend on the product you are using, follow the products instruction. The standard time is 30 minutes. Don't leave the color longer than recommended! That might damage your hair and color will be different than you wanted.
5. Rinse your hair with water only (avoid shampooing for at least 24 hours) and apply conditioner that you found in the box.
And don't forget to Prevent fade. Wash with a “color-depositing” shampoo once or twice a week. Just don’t use it daily!

5 Most Useful Beauty Tips Ever!

Today I am going to share with you 5 most useful beauty tips ever! They all work wonders and the best part- you don't have to spend extra money to do it!

1. Amp Shine with Vinegar
Mix one part vinegar with four parts carbonated water, and soak dry hair. Leave on for 15 minutes before you shampoo to lock in shine and combat dullness.

2. Fix a Flushed Face
If you turn red and stay that way after exercising, take an antihistamine (like Benadryl) when you leave the gym to reduce redness. Buy non drowsy formula if you are going back to work or party.

3. Shave with Conditioner
Run out of shaving cream? No need to run to the drug store. Just coat your stems with a thick hair conditioner. It softens the hair so it's easier to shave off and makes legs feel amazingly soft. (I like to use Aussie Hair Conditioner for that. It's cheap and so great!)

4. No Bumps After Shaving
After shower, dry off your skin and apply hydro-cortisone cream along with your favorite moisturizer.

5. Cure Calluses With Vaseline
Slather on the petroleum jelly, and put on socks before bed to dissolve tough calluses overnight.

Hope this was helpful. See ya soon xoxo ;)

5 ways to lose weight with no effort!

Now, this might sound to good to be true, but where are some things you can do to lose weight with almost no effort! And I am going to share 5 little secrets with you today. It worked on me, so it might work on you too ;)
1. Stop drinking soda already!
One bottle has around 200 calories! And those are empty calories. You better eat 3 apples for the same "price". If you can't resist bubbles (like me) switch to diet drinks. Diet drinks have 0 calories. That means- less calories a day, more lost weight tomorrow!
2. Eat Grapefruit
Before each meal eat half grapefruit or drink 8 oz of grapefruit juice. Grapefruit has a magic power to burn calories faster!
3. Switch everything to low or zero fat.
But you sure all knew that- the less calories you'll consume the more weight you'll lose. And one of the easiest ways to cut your calorie intake is by switching your standard full calorie foods to low ones. For example, switch full fat milk to skim one.
4. Move as often as possible.
Every move means extra calories burned. Instead of taking elevator climb stairs. Use bike instead of a car whenever possible. Getting busy with your man at night is one of the nicest ways to burn calories ;). But don't forget- you have to be on the top. :)
5. Eat water-rich foods.
Water-rich foods (like veggies and fruits) are low in calories but high in nutrition. Plus they fill you up pretty good. So you will eat less during a day.

When it comes to weigh loss the rule is to consume less calories when you burn. These tips that I shared with you allows you to consume less calories and helps to burn them faster. You won't see any changes fast but in the long run the weight that you shed off this way won't come back. :) Healthy living might be difficult to adapt at first but with small changes everything becomes possible. Take one step at a time to succeed. And good luck!

How to wash your hair like a pro

Don't we all love how our hair looks and feels after salon service? We sure do. Too bad in this economy we can't afford as many services as we used to. But where is no need to be sad because I have good news to you- we can get similar results at home when we learn how to wash our locks and scalp properly. So here are some important tips for washing your hair like a pro.

1. Brush your hair before showering.
De-tangling your locks with fine toothed-comb will release naturals oils in your scalp. That reduces the chances of split ends and allows hair to absorb benefits of your shampoo better.

2. Use only a quarter-sized dollop of shampoo.
Too many people use way too much shampoo. All you need is a quarter-sized dollop. Too much shampoo creates excess buildup. And lather only your scalp. Shampoo may dry out hair ends so leave it for conditioner.

3. Massage your scalp.
Use your fingertips to continue working the lather into the scalp and move in a circular motion in small sections all the way around your head. This helps to release natural oils in your scalp. Increased blood circulation is great for hair growth!

4. Rinse your hair with warm water.
Rinse your hair with warm water, and make sure you get rid of all the shampoo.

5. Use a conditioner.
After rinsing shampoo out, towel dry your hair. (Product cannot be absorbed on soaked hair.) Again use only a quarter-size of conditioner and apply in only on hair ends. Let it stay for at least 5 minutes (in that time you can shave your legs or lather yourself up) and rinse it out with COOL water. Cool water seals hair cuticle so hair look silkier and shinier. Make sure to rinse it out completely or you will end up with greasy looking hair.
And remember- towel dry hair is always the healthiest way!
xoxo see you soon ;)
